Fliss Harris - Pre-School Manager and Safeguarding Lead

​

Fliss has been working in childcare for more than 20 years and holds a Level 3 in childcare and Level 4 in management. She started working as a nursery nurse and worked her way up to a nursery manager but missed being with the children so came to our Pre-School in 2014.  Fliss has two children, Ella and Isla. She enjoys being outdoors, running, walking, swimming and chocolate!

Sabrina Johnson - Deputy Manager

Sabrina has a Level 3 in childcare and joined the team in 2016.  She is from Cirencester and enjoys swimming and spending time with her 2-year-old goddaughter. Whilst studying at college, Sabrina worked at The Market Garden but has always wanted to work with children so is delighted to now have that opportunity.

Kelly Crawford - Early Years Practitioner and SENCO

Kelly joined us in September 2018 and has worked with children for more than 14 years and specifically within a Pre-School setting for the last 11 years.  She holds a Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development.  Kelly is our SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and is committed to supporting children with additional needs, as well as liaising with parents and other practitioners. Kelly lives in Ashton Keynes and has two boys, Ben and Ryan

Vanessa Jones - Early Years Practitioner

Vanessa has been with us since 2009. She previously worked as a mother’s help and a room leader in a nursery. She holds a Level 3 in childcare and is very kind and caring.

Tina Smith - Early Years Practitioner

Early years practitioner (Health and safety officer, First aider) 

Tina joined the team in 2003 and is qualified to NVQ level 3 and trained in creative learning and health and safety. Tina was born and brought up in Ashton Keynes.  She has worked as a nanny, a care officer in a psycho-geriatric care home, a child minder and a Mum.

Sally Wilson - Pre-School Assistant

Sally joined us in 2014 and has a Level 1 in childcare. Sally likes gardening and sewing and has many other hobbies. Originally from South Africa, she moved to the UK in 1996 and then Ashton Keynes in 2014 and started working as an assistant at the Pre-School.  Sally has two children and five grandchildren.  She has previously worked as a secretary and had her own wedding flower business. 

First Aider

Nigel Freeth - Chair

Nigel has worked in the IT Service Industry for 44 years before retiring 2 years ago. Nigel has worked in both internal and outsourcing IT roles. Nigel’s Grandson Louie attends the Ashton Keynes Pre-School and is one of his 9 Grand Children and 5 Children. Nigel and his wife Debbie sponsor a young girl through her education as part of the Tallinding School Project in Gambia

Matt Gayne - Treasurer

Matt is a chartered accountant who currently works in the Treasury department at Nationwide Building Society. Matt moved to Ashton Keynes in 2018 and has a daughter, Lily, who joined the preschool in September 2020. Matt is responsible for the preschools day to day finances and ensuring the preschool is financially viable. 
 

Stacey Hudd - Deputy Chair and Safeguarding

Stacey organises and attends fundraising events to raise extra money for the Pre-School for trips and extra resources. She is responsible for overseeing staff appraisals, the Pre-School manger’s supervision and supporting the Chair when needed. Stacey is also responsible for the Government Early Years Funding for all children over 3-years-old and supports the Pre-School staff with safeguarding issues should any arise.  Both of her girls have attended Pre-School over the years and are now at Ashton Keynes Primary School. Outside of Pre-School, Stacey has worked in the early years sector for more than 10 years and is now an Ofsted registered Childminder in the village. 

Zoe Sutton - Secretary

Zoe is responsible for recording and distributing minutes, assisting the Chair and Fundraising events. She joined the committee in March 2018 when her daughter, Elsie started Pre-School. Her daughter has now moved onto Ashton Keynes Primary School and her son, Charlie has recently started at Pre-School. Zoe has a great passion for the Village having lived here all her whole life, attending the Pre-School and Primary school. Her family are all local and many generations have passed by! Zoe currently works for a security company and also trained in Beauty Therapy. She enjoys family time, exploring/hiking and socialising.

Tash Cole - Administration

Tash is responsible for most of the Pre-School administration, including monitoring the emails, answering queries or requests to amend sessions and ensuring our database is kept up to date with all the children‘s contact details and emergency contact information. She issues contracts, invoices and liaises with other staff and committee members to keep everything running smoothly. Tash’s eldest son Coby attended Pre-School and he is now in Year 1 at Ashton Keynes Primary School. Her youngest son Miles will be starting preschool in September 2020. Tash enjoys spending time outside with the boys and walking her dogs. She has been running her own housekeeping business for nearly 10 years.

Fiona Morse - Communications

Fiona is responsible for marketing communications activities for the Pre-School including promotion of fundraising events, local advertising to raise awareness of the Pre-School and keeping the website up-to-date. Fiona’s daughter, Maisie, is two and joined the Pre-School in September 2018 after they moved to the village in May 2018. Away from the Pre-School Fiona is re-training to be a Nutritional Therapist after spending 20 years in marketing for Telecommunication companies.
