Week Commencing 4th July

Dear parents/carers

We are happy to announce that all five of our caterpillars successfully transformed into beautiful butterflies and we released them on Monday *:) happy.

Next week we will be setting up school role play to support the children moving on to school, they will be able to try on uniform, take the register and we can reassure them if they have any concerns through play.

We will also be incorporating some Eid crafts with some potato printing, and looking at patterns we can make with shapes. We will also have the light box and plastic shapes out, the children will be able to make different pictures and patterns using a variety of shapes.

We will also be bathing our snails, and will be putting large pieces of paper under the train track for the children to decorate scenes and draw maps.

In our small group time we will be focusing on communication and language- speaking- so will be doing an old favourite, show and tell so your child is welcome to bring a toy or item in each day that they would like to share with the group.

Rising fives

We will be having our last Pre-school visit to the school next week.

Your child may have told you already but during the last week the reception class teachers have been visiting to see the children during play, they will also be popping in next Friday.

We will also be playing clapping sounds from aspect 7 of the letters and sounds programme.
