Week Commencing 20th May
Dear Parents,
What a lovely week we have had, thank you for providing sunhats and sun cream hopefully it wont be to long before the sun returns!
The children made the most of the sunshine playing in the water tray- bathing the babies (or the dinosaurs!), they also did a great job at washing their clothes and pegging them out on the line to dry.
This week the children also decided to create a spiders web using string so following this theme next week we will be creating a web using tape on the tough spot tray and placing number spiders inside for the children to discover. We will be focusing on numbers inside for our adult led activity playing a range of number games and puzzles.
The children continue to LOVE laying in the mud kitchen- next week we will be putting out a range of ingredients in the form of different leaves, stones, petals feel free to collect some over the weekend to add to the kitchen. We will also be doing some mud painting!
In our small group time our focus will be communication and language- understanding, for this we will be playing games that reinforce the children's understanding of positions such as over, under, behind, next to. We will also be having fun making up new words to old songs.
Rising fives-
Our sound of the week will be 'u', for PE we will be playing a range of games using the bean bags.
Monday afternoon- Our first visit to the 'big school' for children moving to Ashton Keynes school in September- looking for parent volunteers to help walk the children to school and back, please let me know if you are able to help.
