Week Commencing 24th June

Dear Parents/Carers

I hope you have had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather, we are supposed to be getting more sunny days later this week so please don't forget to send your child in with sun creamalready applied, a labeled bottle in their bag if they are in all day, and a sun hat thank you.

Last week we were very excited to discover a fairy washing line at the park, check out some photos on our facebook page. Next forest school session is tomorrow (Monday) at 11.00.

The children had great fun and did an excellent job at drawing and writing in the foam last week, from trying out making different marks, following simple lines, writing letters, names and even words, great job guys we are very proud of you all .

Next week we will be focusing on Mathematics space shape and measure, having a range of fun activities around the indoor and outdoor area including measuring using bricks, making and finishing patterns, building and shapes. We will also be having fun with some summer crafts,

Rising five- Our sound of the week will be 'j'. we will be doing some music and movement in PE, and continuing to practice blending sounds with toy talk, try it at home, simply find yourself a toy that whispers to you using toy talk and repeat what they would like 'oh mr bear would like you to pass his friend c-a-t' (sounding out the word) Don't worry if your child can't hear the word at first just repeat it a few times blending the sound more yourself if needed until it gets easier for them to hear.
