Week Commencing 2nd October

Dear Parents/Carers

This week the children have been busy den building, incorporating some lovely working together and thinking of some great ideas such as using the wooden pallets as a ladder up the side of their 'house'.They then used their dens as a base for some fun role play games.

The children have continued to enjoy our number games especially making number stones in the garden.

Next week our focus will be physical development so we will be getting active and moving in different ways. We will be continuing with den making as this was so popular this week. On the craft table we will be doing some cutting and sticking following the children's interests from this week and we will be making some musical instruments. If you have any butter tubs, small bottles or any other junk materials that you think could be used to make our instruments we would be very great full for any contributions.

In our small group time we will be doing some singing using musical instruments and of course any instruments we have made. We will also be having a quiet moment to see what sounds we can here in and around the Pre-school.

Rising fives

Kate one of our parents and a member of our committee has revealed she is trained in forest school, and has kindly offered to run some sessions, our first being during the rising fives session next week. We will be going to the park for this so will need weather appropriate clothing and clothes that you are happy to get muddy!

Events and fundraising

We are a charity run preschool and rely on fundraising for supplies and enrichment activities for the preschool, so we hold a number of events throughout the year to raise funds and of course have fun!!

We are looking forward to our first event- our Halloween trail on Saturday 7th October and hope you can all join us. Please could you help to support this fun event by of course coming along and we would love it if you could donate a cake for the cake stall.

We are also collecting all your unwanted clothes and other items for our bags to school collection, the more we have the more money we raise, if anyone is able to deliver any flyers in their street to spread the word then please let me know.

Please find attached this months ECAT newsletter with our story of the month.

Have a great weekend

Kind regards

Fliss and team
