Week Commencing 9th October

Forest School Fun - Spike the hedgehog with a leaf hedgehog made by the children

Dear parents/carers

The children were been busy little bees last week enjoying activities such as den building, making bird feeders, playing with a range of musical instruments and making their own shakers. They have also been impressing us with their physical development enjoying showing off what they can do.

Next week we have another busy week, we will be continuing with our active theme playing with the hoops, balls and climbing frame.

We are looking forward to our trip on Friday to Westonbirt arboretum, please remember pre-school will be closed for the day and we will be meeting at the reception of the arboretum, if anyone requires directions please see a member of staff. Please ensure you dress for the weather and bring some lunch/money for the cafe.

In our small group time we will be playing a variety of fun number games, using our observations and next steps from our previous activities to challenge the children at their individual levels.

We will also be playing a game from our letters and sounds programme. Please see attached sheet for more information on the letters and sounds programme that we follow.

Rising fives

As our forest school was such a success last week Kate has kindly offered to do another session on Monday afternoon. Please bring your child with wellies and waterproof coats and clothing that you do not mind them getting muddy in.

Thankyou to everyone who came along to our halloween trail, the sun even made a little appearance for us . We have some delicious cakes left so will have them outside next week for you to purchase so don't forget your change.

Have a lovely weekend

Kind regards

Fliss and team
