Week Commencing 16th October

Dear parents/carers

Thank you to everyone who came along to Westonbirt arboretum today, it was a lovely morning filled with a lovely autumn walk, finding the characters from the gruffalo and a scavenger hunt followed by some lovely crown making.

Next week we will set up a gruffalo role play area and will be making nature pictures so anyone who was unable to come along today can join in the fun.

We will also be looking at pictures and going for walks around the village looking at our community.

In our small group time we will be celebrating wow moments and kindness. Our letters and sounds activity will be 'which instrument'.

Rising fives

We will be drawing pictures from the gruffalo and creating a story map.

We will also be playing a game called Hidden instrument.

At pre-school we promote healthy eating to support your children's growth and development. We are pleased say that on the whole the children bring some lovely healthy lunches but a few are very high in salt and sugar. If you would like any guidance or ideas please just ask.

Fundraising news

Thank you to everyone who helped or came along to our halloween trail we raised a fantastic £200.

Saturday 4th Nov is the FOAKS (Friends of Ashton Keynes School) fireworks display which takes place on the Bradstone playing fields. This is a big event which starts at 4.30pm, with stalls and an impressive firework display which starts around 6.30pm.

FOAKS kindly allow us to hold a raffle and sell raffle tickets at this event.

We are looking for volunteers to join us and help us sell raffle tickets. We hope to be situated near the other stalls.

Can you help us 5-7pm for half an hour or an hour?

If so please let Pre-School know.
