Dear parents/carers
This week the children have been busy building once again and working together brilliantly. They have also really enjoyed playing with the dolls house making up stories around the people and props.
Next week our focus will be mathematics- Space, shape and measure, we will be using the wooden building blocks to look at size and shape, we will also follow this theme outdoors measuring with tape measures and recording our results.
We will also be making Pudsey bears using a range of shapes.
In our small group time we will be doing a range of different experiments talking about why things happen and how they work.
We will also be playing Matching sound makers from the letters and sounds programme.
Rising fives
Danielle will be joining us with a lovely threading activity for the children. The children are really enjoying learning our phonic songs. We will also be playing a game called Grandmothers footsteps, this supports the children's listening skills, team work and self-confidence as they take it in turns to lead the activity.
Children in need
On Friday we will be celebrating children in need by wearing spots and with a teddy bears picnic, everyone is invited to join us for 12.00, simply bring in a packed lunch, a coin for donation and of course a teddy bear.
Please find attached our theatre trip letter, i will put out paper copies on the signing in table if needed.
Have a fantastic weekend
Kind regards
Fliss and team
