Week Commencing 15th January

Dear Parents/Carers

I hope you have all had a great week, Christmas already seems so along ago! The children all obviously had a lovely break and were full of Christmas news.

This week we enjoyed playing with the shadow puppets and made some lovely puppets of our own and the children showed a really good understanding of how the shadows were made. The children also really enjoyed sponge painting so we will continue this next week, as well as providing the children with more technology toys to play with and explore.

Next week in our small group time we will be focusing on communication so we will be using our 'i can' cards which are full of fun games that promote communication skills. We will also be doing show and tell so please feel free to let your child bring in an item to talk about.

Rising fives The children started their letter sounds scrap books last week, they all did so well and showed great pride in their books, please feel free to have a look in them, they will be kept in your child's draw. Our letter sound next week will be 'b' so don't forget to go on a sound hunt and bring in an item beginning with B.

Thank you to everyone who joined the zumba class on Friday, i was unable to go but i hear it was a great success and great fun!
