Week Commencing 19th February
Dear parents/carers
I hope you are all having a lovely week despite some of the wet weather. When we return next week we will be celebrating Chinese new year with a range of fun activities including Chinese writing, Dancing, Chinese restaurant role play, and some delicious food tasting.
Our focus of the week will be Personal, social and emotional development- making relationships so we will be making some friendship jewellery and talking about friendships.
Out doors we will be going on shape hunts to see which shapes we can find around the garden.
Before half term we were looking at rhyming words, the children are doing very well with this, from enjoying listening to rhymes to thinking of our own rhyming words, try this at home and don't worry if they are made up words this is always fun and gives the children the idea of rhyming, try using your names as a start for example Fliss-Miss-Hiss-Biss.
In our small group time we will be trying out some Chinese writing and playing Rhyming puppets.
Rising fives- Our sound of the week will be 'f' and we will be following the rhyming theme playing 'odd one out' from the letters and sounds programme.
Diary dates:
