Week Commencing 29th January

Dear Parents/carers

The children have been busy little bees this week, being builders and taking measurements around the room. Outdoors they have been making a pirate ship and making sales and pirate flags using a range of materials.

The craft table has also been very busy with the children using a range of craft resources to create some wonderful pictures. We have also really enjoyed playing some parachute games and making up different obstacle courses.

Next week we will continue to set up a range of activities to promote physical skills from hand strengthening activities such as the hands on box to climbing running and jumping.

On our small group time we will be reading and acting out some of our favourite traditional stories such as the three little pigs, Goldilocks and the tree bears, the gingerbread man an more. We will then be making some Rhyming silly soup!

Rising fives- our sound of the week will be 'd'.

We will also be playing with words thinking about the sounds and clapping out the syllables to see how a word is structured.

I hope some of you were able to tune into BBC radio Wiltshire on Thursday where some of our children and Lou florries mummy (who is also on our committee) gave a fantastic interview in aid of village hall week.

Leigh Hibbs the Photographer will be in from 8.40 on Thursday 1st February, if your child is in on this day they will have their photo taken with no obligation to buy, if this is not your child's session then please feel free to pop in, or if you would like to have a photo taken with siblings then come along early as we are keeping this time clear for you to pop in before school. We are looking to refresh our icy technology toys so if you have any unused cameras, torches, calculators, remote consoles toys or similar you could donate please let me know.

Have a lovely weekend

Kind regards

Fliss and team
