Week Commencing 19th March
Dear parents/carers
I hope you have all had a lovely week. The children really enjoyed their visit from zoo lab on Wednesday and it was lovely that some of you were also able to come along and join us. The children have been drawing pictures of the animals they saw and of the zagaroo in the story.
The children have also really enjoyed looking at different job roles this week, we have had some lovely comment about what the children would like to be when they grow up.
Next week we will leave out props for the children to act out different job roles in their play. We will also be using our imaginations creating a small world area with jungle animals, and of course we will be starting our Easter crafts.
In our small groups we will be playing ball games focusing on working together and having fun making up silly sentences using the initial sound in their names such as funny Fliss fishes for frogs!
In rising fives
Our sound of the week will be 'j' and for our letters and sounds activity we are using mirrors to look at the different shapes our mouths make when we make different sounds and doing some fun mouth exercises.
The children have been having a wonderful time outdoors especially playing in the mud and water and we are very lucky to have been donated some great overalls to keep the children dry (dryer!) We also have some spare wellies but it is always very useful if the children bring some outdoor shoes/wellies.
Have a fantastic weekend and we will see you on Monday.
Kind regards
Fliss and team
