Week Commencing 23rd April

Dear parents/carers,

I hope lots of you are able to join us for Zumba tonight!

We have had a lovely first week back enjoying the nice weather and playing games in the garden and having fun in the water tray.

The children have also created some lovely models in the craft area.

We had a lovely time at forest school yesterday looking at different colours and signs of spring and things changing and growing. don't forget you are welcome to join us if this is not your child session.

Next week we will be continuing to look at using different media and materials to make our models and the staff will be taking a step back and observing the children's skills in this area.

We will also doing some music and movement using the hall when available.

In our small group time we will be looking and discussing what we can see around us in our environment, we will also be playing silly soup from the letters and sounds programme, this supports the children in hearing the initial sound in words.

Rising fives

I hope you were all successful in your school selections. If your child will be going to a different school than Ashton Keynes please could you let us know so that we can contact them around transition into school and invite their teacher in to Preschool.

We will be continuing our PE so don't forget shorts and T shirts, the children did very well last week and told me they had great fun doing exercises!

Next weeks letter of the week will be 'm', we will also be having fun looking at the different mouth movements we make when we make different sounds.
