Week Commencing 25th June
Dear parents/carers,
The children had a great time last week painting, the frozen paints worked really well and were great for colour mixing so great idea our fantastic children who chose this activity all by themselves. The children have expressed an interest in painting with different 'tools' last week we tried feathers so we will build on this next week and put out bricks, cars, and other interesting objects to try.
We are looking forward to some beautiful weather next week, so it's looking like lots of lovely water play! Please don't forget to put Sun cream on your child before Pre-school and a labelled bottle if they are in all day and of course a sun hat. We will make sure they keep hydrated with plenty of water.
The children have been keeping our plants well watered and have been sampling the basil! unfortunately the courgettes did not make it as the children had some great digging fun in this container! but our tomato plants are doing really well which has prompted some great growth discussions and the children are looking forward to seeing the tomatoes turn red.
In our small group time we will be making shapes and playing games from our letters and sounds programme.
Rising fives Our sound of the week will be 'qu'. The children are doing so well with their letter sounds and songs recognising and naming the letter before they are told. We will also be listening to each others voices that we have recorded to see if we can identify who's voice it is, this is a great fun listening activity that really encourages the children to concentrate.
Next week we will have Emma joining us for work experience I know the children will all make her feel very welcome and keep her busy Emoji.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend Kindest regards Fliss and team
