Week Commencing 8th October

Dear Parents/carers

I hope your are all having a fantastic weekend.

Last week the children had great fun playing on the climbing frame, we encouraged the children to find different ways up and around, to problem solve for themselves and experiment in moving in different ways. We also enjoyed doing some lovely conker painting, we will be continuing to follow the autumn theme with making hedgehog pictures using natural materials and reading autumn stories talking about animals that hibernate.

In our small group time we will be playing a variety of fun number games from board games to getting outside and counting jumps, hops and actions. We will also be thinking about sounds around us and our favourite sounds.

Rising fives

We will be continuing with some hands on games that help strengthen hand muscles needed for holding a pen correctly, this includes threading, using pegs and tweezers.We will also be bringing stories to life using puppets and acting out scenes.

On friday we will be going out for a walk to to church walk where there are plenty of lovely autumn finds to explore, so please make sure you bring weather appropriate clothing.
