Week Commencing 11th March

Dear parents

Thank you to those who supported our race night fundraiser, either by attending or donating money/raffle prizes, it was a great night and we raised over £500 for the hall floor fund.

Last week we had a lovely time sharing our favourite stories and the children looked great in their world book day costumes. Thank you to Kate for coming in to read us a fantastic story about Gordon the balloon, the children loved making their own Gordons after she left. Kate has given us the story so that we can make sure all the children get a chance to hear it.

Next week we will be decorating and selling decorated biscuits for red nose day, don't forget it is PJ day on friday. We also have the very talented Kate returning to do a music and movement session with the children, if your child is not in on this day please feel free to join us all we ask is a small donation for our comic relief pot!

As we will be indulging in biscuits (for a good cause!) we thought we would balance it out with some fun healthy eating activities, we would also like the children to try some new/different fruits/foods so we would like each child to bring in a healthy fruit/food that they may not have had before or not very often to share at snack time, we look forward to seeing what you come up with.

As we are officially in spring we will be starting some fantastic spring activities starting with Julia- Scarletts mummy bringing in some frogspawn so the children can see how it changes over time.

Thank you to our snack stars for bringing in snack last week:

Harrison, Aimee, Scarlett, Rowley, Roxy, Freddie, Lottie, Milly, Betsy, Millie, George.

In our small group time we will be playing games to support listening and attention skills and playing our letters and sounds game- digging for treasure.

Rising fives

The sound of the week will be 'e'. We will also be playing Bertha goes to the zoo- where Bertha bus visits animals beginning with two different sounds and the children have to identify which group they go in depending on their initial sound.
