Week Commencing 7th May

Dear Parents

I hope you are enjoying your bank holiday weekend.

The children are continuing to have lots of fun playing in their new mud kitchen, making some very interesting dishes!

Next week we will be getting our hands on box out, this is a box filled with fun activities, that the children can do that all focus on strengthening muscles in and around the hand to support writing skills.

The children have requested the dolls out. We will also be putting some real foods into the home corner for them to play with.

We will be using our songbags and singing a variety of number songs.

In our small groups we will be focusing on Personal, Social and emotional development- Self-confidence and self-awareness, so we will be talking about our interests and what we have been doing over the holidays, so please use your tapestry leaning journey to add any photos nad your child can use this when sharing their news.

Rising Fives

Our sound of the week will be 'g' (eg. for goggles not giant as this does not cover this sound). We will also be moving onto aspect 6 of the letters and sounds programme using our friend and game metal mike, he is a robot that teaches us to talk in robot talk breaking up the sounds in words such as f-i-sh.

Leavers photos will be taken on Monday 13th, if this is not your child's usual session and they are heading to 'big' school this year we would love for you to bring them along.
